A Story Walk.

Last week, my dad and I took the girls on a Story Walk at a stable nearby. A story walk is a way to read a book outdoors! Pages of a story are laminated and placed along a popular walking route and people can stroll along and read the story while enjoying the sights. You can go at your own pace which is great. The story we read was Tracks in the Snow.

We loved the book! But the most excited part of this walk was seeing all the horses, the stables — where they eat and sleep and are groomed. It was so exciting! Believe it or not, Lola wasn’t a total fan of the actual horses. She didn’t even want them to look her way. (ha!) But she enjoyed riding the fake horse!

Eva, however, was in heaven with the horses! She wanted to be close although wasn’t so thrilled when a horse snuck up on her! He sort of shocked her with his ability to lower his head and neck out of his fence. 🙂

I found this opportunity through our local library and I’m so excited for others!
