August photoshoot.

I’m never in candid photos with my kids. Like ever… and if I happen to get photographed by Sean with the kids, I’m in my pajamas or I’m not looking, or I’m facing the right direction but my eyes are closed. The list goes on and on but the point is that I don’t enjoy the photos usually. Sean tells me it’s because I never change out of pajamas. 🙂

But when I was getting ready to launch my new website (have I even talked about it, yet?!) I knew that I wanted to take pictures of the kids for the site and I wanted to take some of me AND the kids. I actually really love the way they came out so I’m going to share a bunch here.

On this particular day, we went to a place I had never explored (even though it’s like 10 minutes from our house, ha!) The kids had a blast throwing rocks in the water and watching the ripples. I swear Lola was happy… she just has a hard time smiling for the camera, especially when the sun is in her eyes. I don’t blame her!

It was a lot of fun and I told Sean we have to take pictures like this at least once a month!
