I know it’s not typical to have a baby shower for a second baby. My first baby shower was incredible. But the second time around… you know, etiquette comes into play! I wasn’t totally confident that a baby shower would happen! Lots of people are lucky to be given a “sprinkle”. My mom and aunt decided to throw me (and this baby girl) a “flurry” because it’s winter, after all! It was so beautiful and we feel so fortunate to have such generous family and friends. Before I dive into photos of the flurry, I want to reveal this baby’s name! (Finally!)…
I’m so excited for baby Lola to join our family and I’m in love with her name, too! “Lola” quickly made the short list of baby names (the general rule was that her name needed to “go with” Javier) and it didn’t take long for Sean and I to agree on it. Her middle name, Rey, is for my grandmother though the spelling of it is a tribute to Star Wars (Sean has a lot of say over middle names here, ha!) — but now, back to the baby shower or… the flurry!
Is Christmas time NOT the best time… especially to entertain?! Everything is just more festive and fun!

Easy, peasy — fun and long-lasting!
It was such a beautiful afternoon and Sean and I are so appreciative of our family and friends who came, or sent their well wishes, or even a gift! Just a few weeks ago Lola had an empty bedroom (reveal coming along soon!) but now it’s full! She has everything she needs and more and our hearts are so happy and excited!
We can’t wait for her to arrive!
Outside time, leprechaun visits, birthday celebrations and my annual scrapbook weekend. March has come and…
Winter can feel slow, like everyone’s in hibernation mode — staying cozy at home. But…
