Last month, we spent a weekend in Bethel, Maine. We went to the same area back in November 2021 and decided to go back! Unfortunately, Eva woke up the first morning with a fever of about 102! So we were pretty tied to the house and the car until she was feeling better. It wouldn’t be a family weekend away without someone getting sick!
We spent the weekend at various Walgreens searching for appropriate meds, taking scenic drives, getting take out, and playing board games! When she was finally feeling better, we did get to go to some restaurants and even a few stores! Oh — and it rained the whole weekend — again, wouldn’t be a family vacation without a little rain! 🙂
We drove about two hours for this scenic shot! When we got there it was raining so much and there was so much fog and clouds — we could barely see each other! HA! Supposedly behind us, that’s quite the view!
When there was a break in the rain we tried to stop for some family pics (!) but Eva was asleep in the car and Javi, apparently, couldn’t keep his eyes open!
Hopefully we’ll get back there next year — without rain or illnesses!
