Last month, we stayed in a cabin on a lake for two nights. The cabin was teeny but perfect for the time we spent there. It came complete with twinkle lights, fresh eggs and no TV. We spent the days out by the lake and even went out on a few boat rides.
The first night there, Lola didn’t want to sleep. I’m not sure if she was wired from swimming or being in a new environment but it sure made me nervous about taking her other places during the summer. We have a pretty consistent bedtime routine and I saw all our hard work going right down the drain! Thankfully, the second night she was exhausted and slept straight through!
Javi spent his time in the lake! He’s obsessed with water and swimming and boats and catching fish and just with summer overall! When we asked him what his favorite part of the trip was, he said “jumping off the dock!”.
