Christmas, 2018

We had such a wonderful Christmas (eve + day). We started our celebrations on the 23rd and tried to see as many family members as possible. Javi and Lola LOVED being around so many people and they truly love all the attention and commotion that comes with holidays.

Last year we started a tradition of having people over on Christmas Eve. Our town police drive Santa around to people’s houses in a police car (!) for visits so shortly after Thanksgiving we got on the list for that! Javi LOVES all things SANTA and he couldn’t believe the big guy was in his house!

At night we gave them their Christmas Eve boxes (pajamas, a cozy blanket, stuffed animal) and then set out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer! Javi insisted on leaving 10 cookies for Santa…

Christmas morning Javi woke up around 5:45 and Lola woke up around 6:30. We opened stockings and presents and I quickly realized that I had a cold… and spent most of the morning in and out of sleep on the couch. In the afternoon, we went to my parent’s house where we exchanged gifts and also participated in a Favorite Things Gift Exchange!

Javi and Lola made the day so magical and it’s so amazing to celebrate the Christmas season with little ones!
