December Highlights.

Our December was packed full of every day busyness mixed with festive cheer. We had some traveling, a case of strep throat, and new sports thrown in, as well. Here’s a look back at our December Highlights!

North Pole Experience:

Our top December Highlight was seeing Santa! We took an elevator ride to the North Pole at the mall which the kids loved!

Advent Calendar:

We had 24 days of Adventivities! From meeting Santa to movie nights, hot cocoa bars to craft projects, donating toys to 24 days of books, waffle stations to gingerbread houses, cookies to ornaments — we did it all.

Sports, Scouts + Music:

Javi, Lola and Eva started basketball! Javi and Lola finished up their swim lessons for a bit (we’re taking a break during the winter months.) Javi was busy with Scouts — serving community dinner at church and laying wreaths on military headstones. He was in the town Santa parade on the Scout float. Lola started her cookie season with Girl Scouts. She decided riding on the float wasn’t for her. All of the kids helped Sean make a Christmas album! They all sang and offered input on the songs.

School, work + volunteering:

Javi got a positive office referral (a huge deal!), Eva chipped her tooth one day at school, Lola got sent home from school with strep throat. Sean had to travel for work one week. I helped host a PTO event. I went to Eva’s Winter Wonderland celebration in her classroom.

Maine:

We spent a weekend in Maine with Sean’s parents! We celebrated Christmas, went to the Botanical Gardens and hung out eating Christmas cookies and Lola baked a cake!

Christmas Eve + Christmas Day:

We had the best Christmas — such a December Highlight! We opened their Christmas Eve box, spent time together and with family, and had fun opening gifts (and then organizing it all….) Here’s a peek at their Christmas Eve Box.

A winter birthday + milestones:

Lola turned seven! She opened presents, and had a “yes” day including having her ears pierced! Walker turned nine months!

Some extra photos from the month:

We had the first snowstorm, multiple doctors visits, parades, play time, and more!

NYE:

We did a Noon Years Eve party with the kids at a bowling alley. Then we spent the night at my parent’s house!

Next up: our 2024 recap!
