So much changed in this past month. I feel like Eva grew in so many ways — not just in size, but she met huge “milestones” too.
The first obvious thing that changed was that I went back to work! So Eva started daycare three days a week. They’re equally as obsessed with her as we are (ha) and even though I wish I could keep her with me day in and day out, I’m happy where she spends her days without us! Sadly (though I can’t complain about this part) after just 6 days, she got sent home due to “social distancing” for Covid 19 and I’m not too sure when she’ll be able to go back! So, she’s home with us again!
The other HUGE thing that happened is that she started to sleep through the night. Honestly, I’m hesitant to say it — but it’s happening (3 weeks now). Occasionally, she’ll wake up for a feeding in the middle of the night but for the most part the Merlin Magic Sleepsuit is, in fact, MAGICAL. She looks a bit like an astronaut! But we put her in her sleepsuit, feed her and she not only sleeps through the night BUT she sleeps in her basinette, alone — I KNOW. How far we’ve come.
I keep reminding myself that she’s 4 weeks younger than she really is (based on due date) — so she’s not yet rolling around. But she does enjoy tummy time which is a HUGE improvement and she holds her head up tall and strong. She also “found” her hands, is trying desperately to suck her thumb and grabs onto her mobile when it’s close enough for her to reach.
I’m not sure it’s time for this — but she’s drooling SO MUCH, that it makes me think she might start teething soon. She’s nowhere near ready to try solids and she’s still on the same formula — still 4 ounces a feed, about every 3 hours. She’s definitely put on weight (her 4 month appointment is next week but I may cancel in light of Covid 19) and she’s grown in length. She’s in 3 month clothing!
She’s completely obsessed with watching Javi and Lola run around the house and I know soon enough she’ll join them! She feeds off their energy too. When either of them cries — she cries (maybe to copy or maybe to compete for attention) but either way no one forgets Eva’s in the house!
