Frozen Animal Rescue.

Somewhere mid-summer, I set up our sensory table with a Frozen Animal Rescue activity. The kids loved it!

I chose to use these animals, and put each animal inside of a deflated balloon. Then I filled the balloons with water, and frozen them over night. When I was ready to set up the activity I cut open the balloons and was left with frozen sea creatures!

Then I offered water at different temperatures, pipettes, scoops and pitchers so they could melt the ice away and rescue the animals. They had a blast.

Javi requested that next time I add some baking soda + vinegar so that the water would fizz. That would be a great extension activity!
