July Highlights.

July was full of sweet summertime moments! July meant our 13th wedding anniversary (!), our third cat Atlas’ ‘gotcha day’, summer camps, splashpads, pool time, the beach, Sean saw Sammy Hagar in concert, he traveled one week for work, all the kids had dentist cleanings (and zero cavities… go ME), Javi got four baby teeth pulled, we went to some birthday parties, had plenty of play dates, Javi continued his summer basketball league, Lola started Cheer… it was busy as always! Here are some highlights:

We continued our YMCA-streak! My parents got us a summer membership to our local Y and they have a great splashpad, indoor pool and outdoor pool. The kids are obsessed with going there!

We also went up to York twice to swim at my aunt’s pool! We were lucky enough to meet their new puppy, and Eva just couldn’t contain her excitement.

We took a trip to NYC! We saw the Statue of Liberty, walked a whole lot and took various modes of public transportation! I wrote a post about our time there.

They were all very happy with their big NYC purchases: Javi got a LEGO statue of liberty, Lola got an American Girl Doll, and Eva got a Bluey backpack!

We spent lots of time in the yard using our inflatable pool/waterslide, and our new reusable water balloons.

One Sunday in July we went fishing! Eva caught a fish (I think she caught a few, if I’m remembering correctly…) It was a really hot day! All of July was actually really hot.

Javi was invited to join a summer enrichment camp for two weeks. It was 8-12, and then he stayed for a sports camp from 12-2. Lola did a week of Cheer camp, and also did a week at a Taylor Swift-themed dance camp. Camps allowed me to have some special time with whoever was home and it was interesting to see how the dynamic changed depending on who was at camp! It also allowed me and Eva (and Walker) to have some quieter days where we did some fun stuff, too! We went to the Ecotarium, had some shopping days, story times at the library, did lots of crafts and projects, and played a whole bunch.

Walker kept on growing! He started to roll over and is VERY vocal now. Could he be the loudest of all the kids? Quite possibly. 🙂

We got an opportunity to work with Lovevery (again!) which was so much fun. This time we worked with their Reading Skills Set box 2! I’ll write a review of this soon, but we love it!

We celebrated 4th of July, and my mom’s birthday!

We spent a week in Maine with Sean’s family — doing all sorts of Maine things!

We’re well into August now and in no time I’ll be wrapping up the end of summer and beginning to talk about back to school. Crazy!
