What a month! Here’s what we’ve been up to…
Our garden is growing strong! I’m amazed, I swear. I didn’t realize how much I would truly enjoy it — looking at it and taking care of it AND watching the kids take care of the plants, too. We are all gardeners now.
We started going out! We’ve gone to Target (inside! twice!) and the Library each week. This is new for us but it’s been fun experiencing the world (again) with kids. Lola is SO LOUD inside stores. She screams around every corner, “mama! look! mama! clothes! mama! shoes!”
Baseball, gymnastics and tap all wrapped up for the year! Javi finished his baseball season with a team pizza party (with cupcakes!) because his team sold the most amount of raffle tickets in the league. He also had a performance in Gymnastics that Sean and I were thrilled to attend! He’s very serious at Gymnastics and was a joy to watch. Of course, Lola’s recital was recapped here.
We went to a restaurant! And ate inside! It’s so funny to me that all these things seem REALLY big except they are entirely normal and pre-2020 wouldn’t have even made it on the blog! But here we are! Being excited about the little things.
The kids have quickly remembered that “summer” and “afternoon ice cream dates” go together. So we’ve been sneaking to ice cream shops when Eva wakes up from her nap in the afternoons. Javi also did a week of Sports camp! He loved it so much.
Lola learned how to buckle her own car seat. We celebrated Father’s Day! I also took the kids to the mall on a Sunday morning only to find out that the mall doesn’t actually open until Sunday afternoon. ha!
We’ve been loving our yard and our inflatable pool and bike riding in empty parking lots. Lola got a new “big” bike and she’s very good! We got Eva a balance bike but she’s not too sure about it. She prefers to just watch.
On the last day of the month we went up to Maine for a swim! We had a blast and all three kids were obsessed with the water! Time to get them into some swim classes. 🙂
September brought chilly mornings, lots of family time, busy schedules and birthdays!
Our littlest guy is seven months old and is a lovebug!
Every October 1st, I give the kids Boo Baskets. They've become a favorite tradition and…
Ah, this has been the first month that I'm feeling a little behind on Walker's…
