June Highlights.

We’re well into July at this point — summer is just going, going, going. So here’s a little recap of the month of June so that it doesn’t get forgotten about!

CAMPING: We started the month with a RV camping trip. You can read about that here.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: June brought an end to all the things — Javi moved up in Scouts from a Wolf to a Bear!

Lola finished her first year of Daisies!

Eva completed her first year of t-ball! She can’t wait for it to start back up again and she has said a number of times how much she misses her team.

The girls performed in their dance recital! They each had three numbers: tap, ballet, and jazz. We took photos of all their costumes at home.

Lola finished soccer! We only made it to soccer a handful of times because so many Saturdays got rained out! But she still had a fun season.

Javi’s baseball team made it to the semi-finals! He was super bummed to lose the game but LOVED the season.

END OF SCHOOL: June brought the end of school! They all had Field Day which they LOVED. Javi’s grade color was yellow, Lola’s was red and Eva’s was blue. They all had to borrow clothes from Javi. 🙂

The kids were so excited for end of year activities. Eva had a preschool ceremony we attended — she looked so grown up!

Lola finished Kindergarten! We all got to attend her graduation.

They all grew so much from September to June.

FATHER’S DAY: We celebrated Sean on Father’s Day with a short hike! Then we had dinner with my parents, too.

TRAVEL: The day school got out we went to the Cape.

And then a few weeks later, we took off for the Smoky Mountains. On the way home, we stopped at a drive-through safari/zoo in Virginia.

FIREWORKS: Our town does 4th of July fireworks in… June! ha! So we headed down to those one weekend and then let the kids stay up late to watch the fireworks from our backyard.

KIDS: The kids had (I think) a very good month! Walker turned 4 months old. Eva really enjoyed the garden. Lola showed interest in going to church, went to a friend’s party and had a half birthday. Javi started really getting back into Pokemon, Lego and bracelet making.

SPLASH PAD: My parent’s got us a season pass to the Y so we could use their pool and splash pad. It’s very quickly become one of their most favorite things.

And that sums up the month! Stay tuned for a recap of July.
