It’s been forever since I’ve posted a good ol’ fashioned life update. So what better day than a snowy Tuesday?
Lola is fierce. She becomes louder and louder EVERY day. 🙂 Her two teeth on the bottom have now been joined by two teeth on the top. She’s spent the past few weeks in and out of sicknesses (stomach bug, cold, cough, eye infection, ear infection), it’s been terrible. But she’s in such good spirits the whole time despite feeling poorly.
We got her first report card a few weeks ago. I know, I can’t believe she got a report card either! Apparently, she doesn’t listen (insert “shocked” emoji) but is a happy child and “a joy”.
Javi has been busy at school and ice skating on the weekends! He LOVES ice skating. We had to get him a different helmet because I was having panic attacks watching him fall on top of other kids and watching other kids’ skates fall over his face. It was scary. So… we got him a full-faced hockey mask. He’s also spent the last month sick (stomach bug, ear infection, cold + cough).
He’s loving school and wishing for more snow every day. We also got his report card and he’s learning to listen, too! (insert “shocked” emoji). He’s so interested in letters and numbers, desperately wants to read, is positive he has a loose tooth and thinks every tomorrow is his 4th birthday.
Both of these kids are keeping us on our toes. They’re learning to play, chat and be around each other. Javi REALLY wants Lola to be an active participant in his games and Lola REALLY wants to hold anything Javi has. But they admire each other, she adores him and he sneaks her kisses when we’re not looking.
We had so much fun taking pictures before the Superbowl!
Unfortunately, Sean and I have also spent most of the past 2 months sick. We decided we need to add some vitamins into our grocery budget! It’s ridiculous. But otherwise, things are going well. Sean has been exploring new job opportunities and last week 3 offers came his way. So crazy how things like that happen! But he starts a new job next week. 🙂
How’s winter treating you? Any tips for staying healthy?
