March Recap.

I can’t believe another month has come and (almost) gone. It’s been a MONTH. So much has happened and I haven’t been good about writing things down… so here goes a little something from memory:

Sean turned 33! Javi got real serious when we went to the store to pick out gifts. Among some of my favorite, extremely thoughtful, gifts he chose was a (“daddy makes me pasta!”) and an onion saver (“daddy LOVES onions!”). He also clearly thought it was his birthday and opened all his presents and blew out his candles, twice. 🙂

Speaking of, Javi, he and I are finishing up a two week Spring Break. It was the best. He ate ice cream, rode his bike, went for walks, went on adventures, went to the mall… watch out Disney World — apparently, 3 year olds don’t need much to have fun! Turns out you don’t even really need to leave town! The look on his face when we went through the carwash… priceless! Oh, and he’s been practicing with his photography skills:

Which all brings me to my next point — man, am I on the struggle bus thinking about going back to work next week. Sean commented that I’m a lot happier at home when I am home (opposed to working). I can’t disagree! We’ve just had an amazing time together and I love being able to see Lola first thing in the morning, hang out Javi, run to the store, not be on a time schedule, and overall just be less rigid and not in such a routine. It makes me really long for summer break.

Lola turned 15 months! I brought her to the doctor where she cried and screamed and acted absolutely out of control — because they tried to get her weight. Oh man. The stress of it all. She’s 24 pounds by the way. On the way out of the doctors office, the elevator door closed on her hand. I took her right back to the doctor so they could check her! Turns out it was just bruised… thankfully. Now we know… we can’t put our hands on the door when it’s sliding open. Who knew….

I got away for a weekend in New Hampshire for scrapbooking, crafting, massages, etc., etc., etc. It was so much fun and one of my favorite weekends of the year! But I definitely missed my people!

Even though I haven’t been “going” to work every day, I’m working! My Monat business is thriving and March was my best month yet! I guess that’s what happens when you have more time to devote to something: success. I love the extra paychecks and bonuses each month. Plus, I’m so excited for new people joining my team and using and loving the products.

Oh, and YES the highly recommended “OK to wake clock” is working wonders! Javi stayed in bed until 6:45 every day during vacation. That is a miracle considering prior wake ups were around 4:30AM!

The other huge thing that happened this month is we took in Sean’s mom’s cat after her surgery. His name is Kitty and he’s 14 or 15 year olds. He’s a bit set in his ways and has already claimed our bed as his… much to Artemis’s annoyance. So she’s a little frustrated and we hear awful cat fights all night long. We’re hoping a little Feliway can help with it all and that we’ll be a peaceful family of 4 + 4 cats in a few weeks.

Some favorite purchases:
