We celebrated Javi’s fourth birthday with a Star Wars-themed party this weekend. I found some cute ideas on Pinterest on how to pull off such a bash and then was able to sort of implement some of the ideas. 🙂 I found these really cute food tags here. Then we ordered an amazing cake from a local bakery. And of course, no party is complete without a bounce house (with a slide)!
Javi said it was his best day ever which is just so sweet of him to say because it was just a good ol’ fashioned backyard get together! But he and Lola spent about 6 hours in that bounce house and were thrilled when a few cousins and friends showed up, too. I think this may be the last year we can squeeze by without inviting school friends. This year he really wanted to invite kids from his classroom but I really like to keep family and school separate. I guess that’s what happens when you work at the school your kids attend! Unfortunately for me, I was feeling so sick before and during the party — probably pregnancy or something. But I’m so grateful to everyone who set up the food and tables, and watched the kids, and made sure Javi had a blast because he loved every single second of it and is already talking about his FIFTH birthday party.
