We spent most of the month away from home! So not much to report in terms of typical shelf work but here’s what Eva’s been up to at 18 months.
Beach trips: As a baby last year, she didn’t get to fully enjoy the beach! But at 18 months, she’s into it! She loves the sand, the water, the games… everything. She loved carrying around a sand pail and filling it with sand, water and shells.
Gardening: I added a stool to the raised garden bed so she can observe the garden and participate in harvesting the lettuce and tomatoes.
Sensory path: She’s also been really loving our sensory path. She moves the rocks and stones, walks over the stumps, smells the lavender, eats the chives… it’s a blast.
Bubbles: This is also the month I got tired of bubbles being spilled all over our patio. So I started to use duct tape to fasten the bubbles tube to the side of the house.
Balance bike: I broke out the balance bike. She actually wasn’t a total fan of this but it continues to be option for her.
Water painting: This is such an easy activity! A cup of water and a brush and she painted the side of the house. 🙂
Threading: One shelf work she did really enjoy this month was a small threading tray. I found beads with pretty large holes in them and gave her a pipe cleaner to thread the beads on. The pipe cleaner is a bit stiffer so it’s much easy than a piece of string.
