Two days of blogposts in a row! Who am I?! Let’s take a peek back at June.
The girls and I went to the Boston Pride parade with my parents. They LOVED it. The only part that Lola was scared of were the people dressed up like dogs. 🙂 She does not like a person in a mask. After the parade, we went to Quincy Market and ate tacos. They had never been to Boston! At least, the last time Lola was there she was about 8 months old. Whoops! We also rode the T.
We celebrated Father’s Day! The week of, we went out for… tacos, of course. And then the Sunday of Father’s Day we had a cookout.
June was a big deal for dance! Lola and Eva performed in their recital (third time for Lola, first time for Eva.) Lola wore a blue and white outfit for ballet, and a purple outfit for jazz. Eva had one Tap performance. They both did amazing! I was a little nervous because Eva had been sick the week before with a fever but she definitely rallied the day of and pulled through! Her little voice was so loud on stage when she was singing her part and she knew all the moves!
The final days of school… seemed to drag on! We were totally ready for school to be done. They seemed to get out so late in June! Lola had a pre-k “graduation” where Sean and I got to have a picnic with her and she got a diploma and showed us all her work from the year. She was proud! Javi’s final days of first grade were uneventful but he was thrilled for summer to arrive!
One weekend, Sean’s parents visited and took us strawberry picking! Lola was totally in her element! She wore her strawberry outfit for the event. It was our first time strawberry picking but definitely won’t be our last!
When The Little Mermaid came out in theaters we took the opportunity to bring the kids to the drive-in! They LOVED it — Eva and Lola fell asleep at the beginning of the movie but Javi made it through the whole thing! We liked the movie and they can’t wait to go back. They were definitely fans of the drive-in since they could talk… non-stop. 🙂
Some other things that happened in June: lots of baseball, play dates with friends, farms and ice cream dates, practicing math (!), building robots, and a lacrosse tournament!
September brought chilly mornings, lots of family time, busy schedules and birthdays!
Our littlest guy is seven months old and is a lovebug!
