Rindge, New Hampshire.

We spent the last four days in New Hampshire! This was our first trip away as a family of five AND our first mid-Covid during quarantine. To say that we over-packed is speaking lightly 🙂 but we wanted to be sure that we didn’t need to stop anywhere or go anywhere while we were away from home. So we brought everything but the kitchen sink!

It was just two weeks ago, Sean said we needed a change of scenery. So I found a house pretty last minute on Homeaway and it was adorable! It was a historic cabin from 1903 on 14 acres with water/beach access and a dock. It had views of the lake and mountains and one morning I opened my eyes to deer RIGHT outside. 🙂

We spent two full days by the water, fishing, swimming, eating s’mores, playing Uno, and learning to fly a kite! Sean was in heaven telling stories about his childhood and making sure everybody was having an enjoyable time. I was a bit anxious the whole time — especially after being attacked by wasps! Javi enjoyed himself though I’ve passed my fears of the outdoors onto him! And Lola and Eva were happy and excited every step of the way — despite Lola also being stung by a wasp!

Lola caught a fish!! She was totally into fishing. The kids jumped off the dock, too! They are incredibly brave. I would never do that!

Our one outing was driving thru Vermont to this covered bridge! We originally wanted to hike a mountain but it was closed! So this bridge it was 🙂

And now, a little video compilation of our long weekend for your enjoyment.
