Southwick’s Zoo.

The week before I went back to work I was feeling like I had to squeeze in as many outings as possible to solidify summer 2018 as one of the best summers ever! It definitely worked but it was also exhausting. I started off the summer strong (and busy), got a bit lazy in the middle and finished strong. One of the last days, my parent’s and I took Javi and Lola to the zoo. It’s close to our house and makes for a perfect little outing.

One of my favorite parts of the zoo is the Deer Forest where you can feed deer and get so close to them (as long as you’re slow-moving). It’s so cute to watch Javi laugh and laugh when they lick his hand.  Javi and Lola both made it out of the zoo with an addition to their stuffed animal collection. I’m not sure how… but they are very convincing.

We plan to go back to the zoo at least one more time this year. In October, they have some Halloween-themed activities that are not to be missed.
