Walker is three months old! THREE months old! He’s 16 pounds of pure baby rolls and he’s the sweetest little guy in the world. He’s in a semi-routine now — if you call — wakes up when he wants, eats when he wants, sleeps when he wants — a routine! But I will say we have the nighttime stuff down and it’s working! He goes to sleep between 10-10:30 (after sleeping in his swing for a few hours) and then sleeps until between 4-6AM in his bassinet. We’ll eventually move him to his crib but I think we’ll wait until after our next vacation.
He’s growing like crazy — and is comfortable wearing 9 month clothes!! I can’t believe it. I can squeeze him into 3-6 months, but it’s tough especially when I have to bend his arms like he’s a doll! I have him in size 2 diapers but once this pack is finished, I’ll start buying size 3 diapers. He uses a pacifier to sleep, and in his carseat but often lets it dangle out of his mouth or just spits it out.
He spends his days in my arms, in the ergo, on his play mat, snuggling on the cough or swinging in the swing (which he really loves!) This is all, of course, only if we’re home — but come weekday afternoons and he’s mostly found in his carseat being dragged to all the activities — baseball, dance, tumbling, Scouts, lacrosse… He does love to be outside, to go for walks, or to just sit in his stroller and observe.
I find him to be an easy baby, but I’m the only person who says that. Apparently, if I’m not around — all he does is cry. I don’t experience it, Sean says he’s obsessed with me, but it breaks my heart to know he feels so sad when I leave! He loves to be held, rocked, sung to and kissed.
He loves to look around! He loves to stare at our faces and he flashes us HUGE smiles when our eyes meet. He loves seeing the kids and they make him giggle. He’s also ticklish on his neck! It’s so funny.
This past month he had some firsts: Mother’s Day, his first cough and runny nose (and sick visit at the doctor), his first parade, his first family vacation! He’s still the most exciting thing to the other kids and they come home from school exclaiming “Walker, we’re back!”
I’m so excited to see his growth this month even though it’s bittersweet! 🙂
