A few weeks ago we were looking at Javi and said to each other, wow he needs a haircut. Unfortunately, we had to keep putting it off because of the having a newborn at home thing. But FINALLY last Saturday we got him into the barber shop.
We’re really lucky because Javi loves getting his hair cut! The first time we went he sat in Sean’s lap but since then, he’s had 3 more cuts, and each time was even more successful and exciting than the last! He loves going there, sitting in the chair, and even more, loves telling people after the fact that he got a haircut (and then he looks down and points to the top of his head as if the person he’s talking to can’t see that his hair is short).
Lola joined us on the outing (her first one other than the doctor) but she slept the whole time! Never even opened her eyes.
We decided to do a slightly different cut because of a fun cowlick he has near his forehead. The haircut I desperately want him to have just wasn’t working out! (Sean was starting to call him Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber…) so he needed a change. Now he has a cut that is work for us (he gets to put a bit of product in the front to spike it up) but this excited him so much.
I mean… just look at that smile! He’ll tell you over and over that he’s “gorgeous”. And he totally is. 🙂
