June 2020.

I thought I’d do a little June recap! Here goes:

I thought I’d do a little June recap! Here goes:

We started off the month, and continue to be, horrified at the murder of George Floyd. Javi and I joined in a local protest. We’ve also been having consistent conversations about skin color, respect, inclusion and privilege.

Javi opened up a breakfast restaurant called, “Syrup”. He serves eggs, cereal, and bananas. He’s strict and makes you call ahead for seating. You can read more about Javi here.

Lola is… Lola! Always taking care of her babies. She’s a lucky mom because all her babies take naps at the same time! She scolds anyone who is loud and “wakes” her babies! Watch out! I plan to do a post about her soon!

Here’s Eva’s most recent update. She’s sitting up, rolling over, and basically a toddler now!

Sean’s parents came for a socially distant visit! It was so nice to see them; the kids were thrilled!

We continue to paint and play! You can read more about keeping kids engaged at home: here and here. And you can read about our summer goals: here.

Our first real outing in months was… the Zoo! We have passes and it’s one of our favorite places to go. It felt really safe — outdoors, we made reservations, and didn’t cross paths with many other visitors.

We’ve made it to the ice cream truck a few times! The kids get so excited!!

We re-organized the playroom (post coming soon!) and Sean and the kids have been gardening! We’ve gotten THREE green beans! 🙂

We splurged and got some outdoor toys for the kids! They love this waterslide/sprinkler inflatable from Amazon. Eva’s obsessed with her swingset swing.

On Father’s Day, we drove up Mount Wachusett! We walked around the summit and it was a beautiful day! Later on, we visited my parents and Sean and my dad ate tomahawk steaks!

We took a weekend and went to New Hampshire! We also visited a covered bridge in Vermont!

We had a decent month (all things considered!). We’re looking forward to getting back to normal in July but know the possibility of being back in quarantine is more likely. Fingers crossed!!
