Eva started walking a bit more this month so she’s been busy. Here are some activities she’s been interested in.
Barn and animals: She started showing interest in the barn and especially enjoys all the animal figurines.
DIY Felt hearts: This is a little themed activity with Valentine’s Day this month! I had really large white felt and hand cut a heart, then cut out smaller hearts in pinks and reds. Since they’re felt they stick together! She loved this.
Light table: This was a major interest for Eva this month! You can read about our light table here.
Tunnel: Some days were just too bitterly cold outside. So I broke out the tunnel and it was a HUGE hit. At first she was cautious but after she saw Javi and Lola do it, she was all about it.
Painting: We painted! I gave her a tempera cake and a few different style brushes and she had a blast. An art apron is a must!
Puzzles: This month she really started showing interest in “longer” puzzles like this 5-piece puzzle. Before she was doing single piece puzzles, or no more than 3 pieces.
Water play: Javi and Lola got some KiwiCo boxes and this life saver was inside! It’s a shallow inflatable “pool”. Eva was OBSESSED. I’m sure a shallow baking pan or something similar would offer the same level of entertainment.
Other DIYs: I put up a post about some DIY materials I made and you can find that here.
Light switch extenders: And the unsung hero of the month is… our light switch extenders! She is finally tall enough to reach them and they are an attraction!
September brought chilly mornings, lots of family time, busy schedules and birthdays!
