Since babies are only considered newborns for the first two months of life (WHAT!), I only had a few more weeks to capture “newborn photos”. One of my friend’s has been able to take photos of all the kids when they were newborns. She’s also taken family photos for us, so I was super excited when our schedules lined up (7 kids between us!) and she was able to visit with us and take some beautiful pictures of my little guy.
He wasn’t totally into the whole thing — he’s decided that he likes to be held 100% of the day (and night) and as soon as he’s put down — he cries. But I think in between the cries, tears and general looks of discomfort — she worked her magic and these pictures are beautiful and super special to me.
The days are truly going by very quickly. I never get to my to-do list. I’ve wanted to do handprints and footprints since he was born… and it never happens! I try to take photos of him, too! I have all these plans to dress him up in different outfits — but time, it just goes and before I know it the day is over. I’m so happy to have these images now.
It’s too bad that his nursery isn’t set up because I would have loved to have some photos taken in his space — but we’re not quite there yet!
Eva took a few photos with him and I hope to get some photos eventually of all four kids. Javi and Lola were at school. But oh my goodness… do you see his dimple? When he’s happy, it comes out in full force!
I’m so thankful to have these moments with him. Here’s a little video of the session. 🙂
I can’t wait to get some of these shots framed and up around the house!
