Our Christmas Season.

I wanted to share about our December. I feel like the kids are at perfect ages for Christmas. There’s definitely magic to this time of year and having small children at home definitely brightens up an otherwise blah year.

I wanted to share about our December. I feel like the kids are at perfect ages for Christmas. There’s already magic to this time of year and having small children at home definitely brightens up an otherwise blah year.

We did all the things: picked out a tree, decorated the house inside and outside, made ornaments and crafts, baked cookies, wrapped gifts, exchanged gifts, zoomed with Santa, got matching pajamas, did drive-thru light shows, drove through neighborhoods to see lights, got hot cocoa bombs, watched every Christmas movie, mailed Christmas cards, left out cookies and milk (and carrots), woke up at 4:30 AM Christmas morning. I’m telling you — we have been burning the candle at both ends. I’m a little excited for things to slow down in January. And obviously, I say that with caution and slight anxiety knowing that it very well could mean a total pandemic shutdown — and that’s NOT what I mean. But I’m looking forward to just… being. I feel like the last quarter of the year is go, go, go!

The rest of this post will be photo heavy — a recap of our month leading up to and including Christmas day. But I wanted to make note that Eva unwraps every present (even if it’s not hers), Lola wanted (and got) alllllll the baby dolls, and when Javi opened his presents his most common phrase was “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” — I’d like to think that statement isn’t influenced by me, but… here we are!

I hope you all had a happy and safe holiday season!
