February kicked off with our town’s father/daughter dance! We chose the perfect dress — it was Valentine’s day-themed — got Lola flowers, did her hair and makeup, and then she lasted about four minutes at the dance before saying it was too loud! Live & learn.
We spent two separate Saturdays at kids’ workshops with Home Depot and Lowes. The kids LOVED these sessions and can’t wait to go back.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day with candy and love baskets.
The kids had a week’s vacation and we spent it in true “staycation”-style — pajamas every day, board games, movies, dress-up, science experiments, playground trips!
We got some bad news from our insurance that they no longer cover speech and language services so the girls had to stop going to speech on Thursdays! That’s a major setback. But Eva did qualify for an IEP and she started speech services through the town public school. Javi celebrated 100 days of school. Eva made a friend at the playground. Lola started Music Therapy.
We had a few snow days… but not too much snow! We tried to log some hours outdoors.
We visited the library a bunch of times, we all visited the dentist (Javi and Eva were cavity-free, me and Lola weren’t so lucky!), and Lola has been on a math and language explosion.
We went out to eat a lot, Sean and I went on two date nights, I saw the doctor a bunch of times, and read five books. It was a short but busy month… as usual!
We're nearing the end of November, but I can't forget to recap October! I'll jump…
September brought chilly mornings, lots of family time, busy schedules and birthdays!
Our littlest guy is seven months old and is a lovebug!
