Seven months with Lola Rey.

Little Lola is seven months old (TODAY!). I can’t believe I’m posting this ON TIME. Let’s get straight to the point… here’s a recap of her life in the past month.

Lola’s home from daycare this summer. We decided to keep her home since I’d be home anyway plus it saves a lot of money. So, we’ve been taking trips here and there and we try to get out of the house at least once a day. We started her month in the Cape. She enjoyed the beach, being with cousins and learning to sit up!

She went to the doctor for her 6 month check-up. She was off the charts! I’m not sure what her weight and height are now but if I figure it out in the next few days I’ll edit this post. 🙂

We went to Maine for a birthday party! She sat on her first motorcycle! She wasn’t so sure what to think about it. But she did light up when she saw Javi do the same thing so I’d say she was semi-interested.

It’s so rare that Lola falls asleep in our arms anymore. She loves her bed (no complaints) but lots of other times she falls asleep in the car and then when we get home, she just wants to play. So I had to capture her falling asleep in my arms (hopefully it won’t be the last time). She’s still using a pacifier at times which makes me a bit nervous. But I’m sure she’ll stop when she’s ready. (fingers crossed).

We celebrated Lola’s first 4th of July!

Lola is loving cheerios and the little gerber puffs! She has 1 tooth (!) and the start of a second tooth (front on the bottom). I gave her water for the first time and got her to try using a real glass (it was pretty unsuccessful).

We’ve gone to the mall a bunch of times this month! She LOVES people watching and strollin’ through the halls.

We also took her to the library a few times for baby time and one day the fire department had a story time at the fire department! She was totally into it! I think she’s going to be quite the social butterfly.

She spent her first week away from me when we went to Mexico and she stayed with my parents. She went to Maine for a few nights during this time. I heard she’s not a fan of the pool.

She is sitting up SO WELL. She has also figured out how to get up on her hands and knees… so I think crawling may be in our near future! Even without crawling she’s figuring out how to get where she wants to go by rolling there, or scooting backwards. She’s also beginning to clap! She is really loving “play time”. Lola eats up anything Javi is doing, and wants to be in on the action. She’s starting to pull herself up onto things, too! She’s a strong girl and her laugh is infectious.

She fits in this stroller without her carseat!

Her drool game is pretty strong. Must be all those teeth that are on their way. It doesn’t seem to bother her (the drool or the teeth). She’s still going to bed around 7PM and waking up around 6 (7 on a good day).

She still loves her bottles! She can be perfectly fine and happy and then all the sudden she’ll get so hangry.  She went to the splash pad! She is not a fan… she thought she wanted to come out of the stroller  but as soon as she felt the temperature of the water, she was all set. #likemotherlikedaughter

We went to New Jersey for a family reunion. Not only did she meet so many family members but she traveled to new states (New York and New Jersey). She did so well on the rides which is a good thing because I think we’re going to try to prepare her for MA—>FL.

It’s been such a great month with Lola!
