Two months with Eva June.

Our little Eva is two months old! Time is flying by (at this point, she’s actually closer to three months old) — but, let me freeze time for just a few paragraphs and talk about “baby Eva” at two months.

Our little Eva is two months old! Time is flying by (at this point, she’s actually closer to three months old) — but, let me freeze time for just a few paragraphs and talk about “baby Eva” at two months.

It was in this month, Eva celebrated her first Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Eve! We had all our party gear on and tried to take as many pictures as we could. She doesn’t always like to pose but we did our best.

Eva LOVES to be held. As in… she won’t let us put her down for even a few seconds. It makes doing anything around the house nearly impossible! I feel like she breaks the mold of third children. Everyone told me third babies are go with the flow, easy, nap anywhere, etc. Not Eva!

She grew like crazy this month. She now weighs 10 lbs 2.2 ounces and is 21.5 inches long. She’s gone from premie clothes to size 2 diapers and 0-3 month clothing! She’s still drinking 4 ounces at a time — every 3 hours on the dot. We went through some transitions this month as I stopped pumping and we moved to an all formula diet! We tried so many different ones and settled on Enfamil Sensitive. She was also diagnosed with acid reflux so she started medication to help soothe her tummy troubles.

We went out a bit more this month! We had our first walk in the stroller on a beautiful (near 70 degree day). She also went with the big kids to the arcade!

She was not a fan of this photo shoot (clearly…)! She already has such a strong, dare I say — commanding, personality! She has the ability to take over the room and sort of bring everyone to their knees. We’ve nicknamed her “peanut” because she’s teeny, tiny — but truthfully, we’ll need to eventually choose something more fitting.

I have absolutely loved my time home with Eva while I’m on maternity leave. I’m so glad I took more than the allotted eight weeks off. It’s such a special time together — once the bigger kids get off to school — when the house is quiet and we snuggle up. I already know I’m going to miss this.

  1. Such a sweet lil “peanut”! So hard to accept they want to held 24/7, but you’re so right you’re gonna miss it! They grow sooo fast … which I know you know 😉 xoxo
