Our July.

We had the busiest summer of our lives! We didn’t intend to fill it up, but it just kept happening! We were offered outings and trips that we couldn’t say no to so instead, we packed everything in. Let’s take a quick peek back at July:

We had the busiest summer of our lives! We didn’t intend to fill it up, but it just kept happening! We were offered outings and trips that we couldn’t say no to so instead, we packed everything in. Let’s take a quick peek back at July:

We kicked off the month with a concert! We took Javi and Lola to the Ed Sheeran concert at Gillette. I know people will ask — we tried to take Eva, and she didn’t want to come! She wanted to stay home with gramma. 🙂 Lola was happy to be at a concert that wasn’t down pouring and it was Javi’s first real big show. It was during the really bad wildfires so all the photos are so hazy! It was a great concert and we stayed until almost the end.

The very next morning, after the concert, we left for our two-week cross country trip. We were a bit tired on that first day of the drive! Here’s a little more about driving cross country, our stay in Montana, and driving home! The highlights: 12 states, stayed on a ranch, fed horses each day, stopped at national parks, saw monuments and wildlife, and ate a lot of fast food! We did go out for a fancy steak dinner one night (when in Montana!) and the most memorable part of the trip was when Sean and Barb were talking about their “favorite cuts” — of meat — and Eva told us her favorite cut is a bug bite. 🙂

We got home and the very next day we had a tornado warning! So we were banished to the basement for a bit. That made me realize we should really clean up the basement — hopefully, this fall! We spent one week at home — going to the movies, ice cream dates, playing with friends at the splash pad and celebrating my mom’s birthday!

The final week of the month was spent in Puerto Rico! The highlights: the plane, the pool (the pool and the pool!), good food, hot weather, and many, many new outfits and accessories with the Puerto Rican flag were purchased!

Next up: August!
