Our May.

It’s been some time since my last post but I want to pick up right where I left off… sharing about our May! Of course, the biggest, most exciting part of the month was taking Lola to the Taylor Swift concert. Unfortunately, it poured… buckets. But she was such a trooper and we stuck it out through the whole show! She even said she would go again. 🙂 I sat online the day the tickets went on sale, for hours (!), in order to get 4 tickets and only paid $48.50 each! Sean was really pushing me to sell them because apparently people sell their Eras Tour tickets for thousands of dollars but there was no way I was giving up the opportunity to see her for the third time! Lola was so cute in her rain gear and noise cancelling headphones!

Eva had a good month! She got a little sick — at this point, I don’t remember what she ended up having, but she had to go to the doctors a few times! She also went down the BIG slide at the playground for the first time! She brought her speech teachers some gifts for Teacher Appreciation week and we had a lot of fun with learning activities, playing inside and out, and going for daily walks!

Lola’s core memory from the month of May was definitely the concert! But she also did great with dance, and baseball — we discovered it’s really not her thing (ha!), Library playgroup, and ice cream dates.

Javi spent May busy with Cub Scouts and lacrosse. He also started a basketball enrichment class at his school on Friday mornings. It started at 7:30AM and that was when we discovered we aren’t morning people! He also did his first science fair and shared all about the T-Rex! Oh, and he learned to ride a 2-wheeler!

May was our last month just the three of us girls — me, Lola and Eva! It was a bittersweet time for me as I knew June was coming, school was ending and our days together were short-lived! We had a lot of fun in those final days. 🙂

May also meant Mother’s Day! I spent the day in bed watching Gilmore Girls (of course), and then we had dinner with my family. Sean brought the kids to all their Sunday activities and to the playground so I could relax. 🙂

It was a really fun month and we even got to the zoo with some friends!
